Despite popular belief, optimizing your website doesn't require magic. You can hire a professional if you have the money to spend. But some people prefer to do it themselves. Whatever your viewpoint is, you can still optimize your website simply - and for free.
Use text content instead of graphics. Visitors don't want to just see pictures. They want to read what they need to know. Whatever topic you're covering should contain no less than 200 words. It should directly deal with the topic and offer helpful tips and pointers when necessary.
Use subtitles in your text. This isn't hard. It actually helps break up your text and make it look cleaner. Instead of all of your content running together, you can organize it under two or three subtitles. This helps people to locate exactly what they're looking for.
Start a blog. I know you've heard blogging is the answer to everything, but it really does help optimize your website. Updating regularly adds new content to your site without the hassle of having to update your actual website. You can state facts if you want, but most people go to blogs for opinions or advice. A blog will give you the chance to do both, and create your own unique voice on the web. |
